2005 WHCoA Policy Committee Members to participate in Solutions Forum hosted by American Occupational Therapy Association

The 2005 White House Conference on Aging (WHCoA) Policy Committee will participate in a WHCoA Solutions Forum hosted by the American Occupational Therapy Association, Inc. (AOTA) in Long Beach, California on Friday, May 13, 2005.

Policy Committee Chairman Dorcas R. Hardy announced that committee members Clayton Fong, Thomas Gallagher and Robert Blancato will hear proposed solutions on the following WHCoA Agenda Tracks: Workplace of the Future, Our Community, Health and Long Term Living and Social Engagement. The Solutions Forum is being held in conjunction with the AOTA 85th Annual Conference and Expo occurring May 12-15, 2005. AOTA represents more than 35,000 occupational therapists, assistants and students. The WHCoA Solutions Forum is open to Conference attendees and members of the public.

The mission of the WHCoA, which is held once a decade, is to report policy recommendations to the President and Congress to help guide national aging policies for the next ten years and beyond. The 2005 WHCoA will focus on the aging of today and tomorrow, including 78 million baby boomers who will begin to turn 60 in 2006.
