2005 Whcoa Policy Committee Member To Participate In Ohio Solutions Forum On Nutrition

The 2005 White House Conference on Aging (WHCoA) Policy Committee will participate in a WHCoA Solutions Forum on nutrition and related issues on Friday, May 6, 2005 in Columbus, Ohio.

Policy Committee Chair Dorcas R. Hardy announced that committee member Robert Blancato will hear innovative solutions to current and future nutrition-related challenges from participants at the event. The Solutions Forum is hosted by the state-wide Older Ohioans Nutrition Network. The input from the Forum will assist the Policy Committee in planning for the 2005 WHCoA, scheduled to occur later this year in Washington, DC.

The mission of the WHCoA, which is held once a decade, is to report policy recommendations to the President and Congress which are designed to help guide national aging policies for the next ten years and beyond. Four previous White House Conferences on Aging have been held since the first in 1961.
