Thomas E. Gallagher

Tom Gallagher is President of Greylock Group, Inc., engaged in private venture capital and real estate development and investments for select individuals.

From 2000 to 2002, Gallagher served as President and Chief Executive Officer of Park Place Entertainment Corporation (now Caesars Entertainment), the world’s largest casino resort company. From 1997 to 2000, he was executive vice president, chief administrative officer and general counsel for Hilton Hotels Corporation.

From 1992 to 1997, Gallagher served as president and chief executive officer of The Griffin Group, Inc., responsible for the hotel, entertainment, media, and resort operations and investments of entertainer and entrepreneur Merv Griffin.

Gallagher practiced law from 1969 to 1992 with the law firm of Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher where he specialized in corporate finance, mergers, acquisitions, restructurings and international transactions. He also served as chief legislative counsel for Senator John Tunney (D-CA) in the early 1970’s.

Gallagher graduated magna cum laude from the College of the Holy Cross, and received his law degree with honors from the Harvard Law School, and served as editor-in-chief of the Harvard Journal on Legislation. Tom and his wife, Mary Kay, have been married for thirty-eight years. They have four adult children, ages 30 to 37, and five grandchildren.

Tom Gallagher was appointed to the 2005 White House Conference on Aging Policy Committee on February 3, 2005 by the Honorable Harry Reid, Minority Leader of the U.S. Senate.
